Youth Organization for Health and Development Initiatives (YOHaD) is a Civil Society Organization (CSO) formed to address the Health, Academic, Moral and other Developmental Challenges that most poor and vulnerable people face in communities and society at large with special focus on Young People, Women and Children; using the role of Community Based Organizations (CBO) in mitigating these issues to the grass-root level. We are registered with Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja with Registration Number CAC/IT/NO 42102.

Our vision is: A society with quality health and sustainable development with young people taking the lead; with Mission: Improving Community Health and Development through Behavior Change Activities, Empowerment and raising organizations for sustainability in target communities. The organization therefore empowers her target Populace, establishes Groups/Organizations where necessary or partner with existing Organizations, build their capacity and establish linkages between the established Organizations/Target Communities and other Partners for Sustainable Behavioral Change and Development among poor and vulnerable populace in Nigeria.

YOHaD, with funding support from the United States’ President’s Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention (US CDC) through the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN) ASPIRE project, seek to recruit qualified persons resident in Rivers State to fill the following critical positions necessary for Adolescent and Young Persons Innovation/Skills Acquisition center at FIMIE, PORT HARCOURT, RIVERS STATE, NIGERIA.
Eligible Candidates are to be Youth-friendly, motivated, energetic, with experience working with AYP, have teaching skills and inspiring young people (20 - 35yrs). They will serve as instructors to adolescents/youth aged 15- 24 years. Experienced professionals, passionate about sharing knowledge with eager people are encouraged to join our team of tutors dedicated to empowering youths in today’s most sought-after fields. We are hiring multiple part-time tutoring positions to lead courses in various specialties.
Below are the vacancies available, job descriptions and qualifications for each role:

1. ICT TUTOR
Job Role/Required Competencies: Teach Information and Communication Technology fundamentals, including computer operations, software applications, and digital literacy. Assist students in building essential technical skills for the modern workplace.
▪ Proven experience in teaching or working within ICT.
▪ Strong communication and organizational skills.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree Information Technology or Computer Science or Professional certification in related field.

2. Digital Marketing/E-commerce Tutor
Job Role/Required Competencies: Guide students through the principles of digital marketing, e-commerce strategies, SEO, social media, and online advertising. Help students understand digital marketing tools and platforms.
▪ Professional experience in digital marketing or e-commerce.
▪ Familiarity with digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO tools).
Qualifications: Bachelor’s/HND degree in marketing, Business, or related field and or Professional certification in this field.

3. Web Development Tutor
Job Role/Required Competencies: Teach website development from scratch, including front-end and back-end programming languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.), frameworks, and responsive design principles.
▪ Demonstrated expertise in web development languages and frameworks.
▪ Portfolio showcasing web development projects.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Web Development, or related field and or Professional certification in this field.

4. Robotics Tutor
Job Role/Required Competencies: Introduce students to robotics principles, including design, programming, and automation. Guide them in hands-on projects using robotics kits and relevant software.
▪ Experience in robotics, particularly in educational settings.
▪ Strong understanding of programming and mechanical systems.
Qualifications: Degree in Robotics, Engineering, or a related field and/or Professional certification in this field.

5. Content Creation Tutor
Job Role/Required Competencies: Teach the fundamentals of creating engaging content, including writing, storytelling, audience engagement, and social media content strategy.
▪ Proven experience in content creation for digital platforms.
▪ Strong communication skills and knowledge of content trends.
Qualification: Background in Marketing, Communications, Creative Writing or related field and/or Professional certification in this field.

6. Videography/Photography Tutor
Job Role/Required Competencies: Teach photography and videography fundamentals, including camera operations, lighting, composition, and editing. Share industry insights to help students develop visual storytelling skills.
▪ Proficiency in editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop).
▪ Portfolio showcasing photography and videography work.
Qualification: Degree or professional experience/certification in Photography, Film.

7. Entrepreneurship & Leadership Tutor
Job Role/Required Competencies: Educate students in entrepreneurial thinking, business development, and leadership skills.
▪ Guide students through the process of developing business ideas and strategies
▪ Experience in launching or managing businesses.
▪ Strong mentoring skills and a passion for coaching future leaders.
Qualifications: Bachelors/HND in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship and Leadership and or Professional Certification in this field.

8. Mobile App Development Tutor
Job Role/Required Competencies: Teach mobile app development, covering both iOS and Android platforms. Guide students through app design, coding, and testing processes.
▪ Experience in mobile app development with a portfolio of completed projects.
▪ Proficiency in programming languages like Swift, Kotlin, or Flutter.
Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or a Professional certification in this field.

9. Make Up Artistry:
Job Role/Required Competencies: Share the fundamentals of makeup application, including skincare, color theory, and special techniques for various occasions. Inspire students to explore their creativity in beauty. Lashes fixing
▪ Knowledge of industry trends and makeup techniques.
▪ Strong communication skills and a creative approach to teaching.
Qualifications:
Certification in Cosmetology and Professional experience/certification as a makeup artist.

10. Hair Stylist
Job Role/Required competencies: Professional in Ghana weaving, Stich weaving, all kinds of braiding, Dread locks, Micro locks, Closure Ventilating, Wigging, Wig revamping, Weaving, Manicure/Pedicure, Nail Fixing/Gel Fixing.
Qualification: Relevant certification and experience in this field.

11. Dance Instructors
Job Role/Required competencies: Professional in Jazz, Hip pop, Ballet, Ballroom, Afrobeats, Contemporary, Folk dance.
Qualification: Relevant certification and experience in this field.

12. Care Nurse
Job Role/Required competencies: Experienced in providing basic health care services, health education, counselling and referrals.
Qualification: BNSC, Nursing/Registered Nurse and must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. Experience working with youths is an added advantage.

13. Adolescent & Youth Counsellor
Job Role/Required competencies: Will provide basic socio-psychosociological and BCC support to Adolescents and youth persons.
Qualification: B.Sc. Psychology or Professional Certification in this field and experience working with adolescents and young persons.

Additional Requirements/Advantage: Passion for teaching and inspiring students, knowledge of learning theories and various methods of instructions, strong and proven oral and written communication skills, time management skills, stakeholders’ engagement and advocacy skills, computer skills, record keeping and documentation, Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a classroom effectively, Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for the subject matter, confidentiality and integrity.
